Laboratory Shaker
A shaker is a device which used to stir liquid samples in laboratories. 
A typical shaker has a table board that oscillates horizontally, powered by an electric motor. The liquids to be stirred are held in beakers, jars, or Erlenmeyer flasks that are placed over the table; or, sometimes, in test tubes or vials that are nested into holes in the plate. Orbital shakers also exist, that shake the vessel in a circular fashion.

Shakers have largely been replaced by magnetic stirrers for many purposes, but are still favoured for some situations, such as those involving large volumes.some Incubators comes with a shakes for dedicated applications.

1. Operation must be smooth without abnormal noise. 
2. Lubricant must be apply to the moving parts as per manufacturer instructions. 

Magnetic Stirrer

A magnetic stirrer is a device which use to stir liquids in laboratories. The Magnetic stirrer uses a rotating magnetic field to mix fluid samples, such as buffers and media for growing bacteria. Since only a small magnet bar has to be put inside the sample/fluid, the risk of contamination is minimized.

Check list for PM

1. All sizes of magnetic stir bar must be rotate and the speed of rotation must be adjustable using speed adjustment knob. 
2. Motor rotation must be smooth and noise free.
